My Go-To Pencil Skirt

Whenever I need to 'dress up' for work or a conference, my go to is a pencil skirt. I have always been a fan of the No. 2 pencil skirt in double-serge wool from J.Crew. Every season they come out with a variety of colors, but the design has stayed the same over the years. They run true to size (I wear a size 2), and hit right at the knee (I'm 5'4") for reference.
I had a couple of meetings at work today, and knew I would be taking Elle to ballet right after, and then for our weekly family dinner out. So it was an easy choice for me this morning, since it transitions so well from a work day, to a night out.
I paired it with an older J.Crew chambray polka dot blouse, but this one from Chico's Off The Rack would work well!
The weather is definitely cooler around here, so I grabbed my favorite go-to navy cardigan from Lilly.
Add some teal pumps {mine are also J.Crew from a few seasons back, and match the skirt really well}. but I love this pair as well by Calvin Klein.
For jewelry, I kept it simple with my Danielle Wellington watch that pretty much goes with everything, and some navy ball earrings.
