Shopping experience at the new Macy's Backstage

I have to admit, I do most of my shopping online. I am a creature of habit, and tend to have several brands that I love, and know my size, and the fact that I can shop from my couch, in my jammies, coffee in hand, is a win-win. But with that said, I love discovering new brands and stores, and it's always so fun to play adult dress up and try on new fun styles!
So when Macy's Backstage, a new shopping experience for fashion savvy bargain hunters reached out to me to check out their new store at the Cape Cod Mall, I was super excited! So my little side kick and I got ready, snapped some mommy and me photos {naturally}, and headed off on our shopping extravaganza.
Macy's Backstage at the Cape Cod Mall is located inside the separate Men's Store, and after a few up and down escalator rides {which Elle obviously loved} we found our way in!
The store is laid out similar to what you would find at T.J. Maxx or Marshall's, with a Men's, Women's, Children's, Home, and Beauty sections.
Elle was super excited to see all the colorful toys laid out and picked out her Doc McStuffin's sing a long music box right away {I'm sure the other shoppers loved us, ha!}.
Then we headed off to the Women's section with my little helper pushing the cart that her mama quickly filled up! There were a ton of cute sweaters and dresses, designer jeans {I grabbed a pair of Hudson's right away!} and even an active section.
Then it was off to try on all the finds! We scooped up a huge dressing room which was perfect for the two of us.
Elle made herself super comfy playing with her new toy, and bringing new outfits for her mama to try on.
I can be pretty indecisive when it comes to picking out what I want for me {not so much for Elle though}, so I loved the help of all my Instagram followers who helped me narrow down my finds. Here they all are below!
Find # 1: As much as I loved this top, it was actually a bit snug on me. So I did not keep this one.
Find # 2: This sweater was super soft and comfy. It was a keeper!
Finds # 3 + 4: Anything in blush, I love! So I kept the sweater. However, those Hudson jeans were a little big for me, and I asked one of the employees to help me find my size down, but they didn't have them available. So I had to pass on the jeans.
Find # 5: Obsessed with this long cardigan. Perfect for the cooler fall weather! This was definitely a keeper!
Find # 6: This sweet skirt was sooooo pretty. But I felt like it was too summery, so I passed on it.
Find # 7: So even though the majority of my followers "nay-ed" these Danskin pants, I actually kept them. They are perfect for lounging around the house, and super soft. And I think it's fun to look like MC Hammer.
Find # 8: I mean who can pass up on a tank with a sexy back. It kept this one!
Find # 9: This was probably the find I was most excited about. I've been searching high and low for a rain jacket. I have a ton of trench coats, but none of them have a hood. And I actually need a cute rain jacket with a hood. So I was super excited, and then I decided to try on the hood. Which was not a hood after all!!! Big HUGE bummer! Didn't keep this one.
Find # 10: It looked cute on a hanger, not so much on. Didn't keep this one.
Find # 11: I loved this one. But it was a medium, and they didn't have a small, and it was too loose. Didn't keep it.
Find # 12: Super cute, but I have too many black dresses. I just loved the neckline so much. Didn't keep this one.
All in all, it was such a great shopping experience. I was shocked by the great prices and ended up spending a little over $100 for all the clothes {plus Elle's toy + some fancy gummy bears at the checkout line for me!
